About Our Inn

We opened Thelma's in August 2004 ... after finishing a five year renovation project. The 1873 Italianate farmhouse is now fully updated ... with four new bathrooms, air-conditioning, and new electrical and plumbing, including cable TV and Internet access in all of the rooms.

The house is furnished with an eclectic collection of furniture and art from around the world. With the high 13 foot ceilings ... we have 'played' on expanding that feeling of spaciousness, by not "over furnishing" the house.

The house provides a Master suite ... which has two bedrooms ... sharing one bath ... and the Parlor ... which has one bed with a private bath. There is an economical 'overflow' room ... which is available when needed. A living room, dining room, and large screened-in porch are open to all guests. For the last three years ... we have been building a few trails in wooded acreage behind the house. We have also recently finished a lovely green house ... which we have quickly filled with a variety of tropicals and citrus ...

We serve full breakfasts ... and lunches and dinners can easily be provided by the Juniper Spoon ... a local catering company ... specializing in high quality food ... (link). We have a refrigerator for guest usage ... as well as ice and chilled bottled water.
